Writing a powerful college essay can feel overwhelming—but it doesn’t have to be. In just two focused hours, our College Essay Essentials Class gives students the clarity, structure, and strategy they need to begin writing a compelling essay that stands out to admissions officers.
Led by expert mentors from The College Review, this highly interactive session helps students discover the authentic story that colleges actually want to read.
During the 2-Hour workshop, students will:
- Identify meaningful personal experiences that make strong essay topics
- Learn how admissions officers evaluate essays
- Discover their core values and how to build a story around them
- Understand the structure of a memorable college essay
- Leave with a clear essay topic and a strong outline to start writing immediately
Unlike generic writing classes, this session focuses specifically on the personal statement used for college admissions, including guidance for essays submitted through the Common Application.
