A summer course in speed reading can improve reading speed and comprehension. Improvement in reading can lead to improved performance in any academic subject. Completing homework assignments will become easier and more efficient. Our certified teachers will work with individuals and in small groups to increase the student's reading level. This course is highly recommended for students in middle school and high school.
The math institute consists of a customized course of study of Mathematics. The course provides the opportunity for accelerated students to move further ahead and provides challenging course work. For the student who is experiencing difficulty, this is an opportunity to improve skills at a suitable pace. Classes are taught by certified teachers who will customize programming to meet individual needs. The number of students in each section is limited. Although the ACT math section is difficult, it is very learnable. ACT Math Prep Course presents a thorough analysis of ACT math and introduces numerous analytic techniques that will help you im- mensely, not only on the ACT but in college as well.
Many of the exercises in this class are designed to prompt you to think like an ACT test writer. For example, you will find Duals. These are pairs of similar ACT math problems in which only one property is different. They illustrate the process of creating ACT questions. If your target is a top score, this is the class! PRIVATE TUTORING OFFERED IN:
The Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) is a half-day standardized test required for admission to all ABA- approved law schools, most Canadian law Schools, and many non-ABA-approved law schools. It provides a standard measure of acquired reading and verbal reasoning skills that law schools can use as one of several factors in assessing applicants. The test is administered four times a year. Many law schools require that the LSAT be taken by December for ad- mission the following fall. However, taking the test earlier-in June or October-is often advised.
The GRE exam measures verbal reasoning, quantita- tive reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and that are not related to any specific field of study.
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a standardized assessment test, delivered in English, that helps business schools assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in business and management. Schools use the test as one predictor of academic performance in an MBA program or in other graduate management programs.
The PRAXIS SERIES
The Praxis Series Assessment provide tests and other services that states use as part of their teaching licensing certification process. The Praxis I tests measure basic academic skills; The Praxis II test measures general and subject specific knowledge and teaching skills; and the Praxis III test measures classroom performance.
